BOOKING
CONFIRMATION:- Do
not book your flights until we have confirmed your booking! Should you
choose to book flights before receiving an email or other form of written
confirmation from us to say that your dates have now been secured, you
do so at your own risk. We will not be responsible for any costs {to
include but not be limited to, flights} you may incur should we be unable
to offer you confirmation of those dates. We do not recommend you make
a deposit payment to us until written confirmation has been received
from us to state that we are temporarily holding your dates awaiting
a payment.. If, having made your payment and received our confirmation
of your booking, you are then unable to find flights that suit you within
12 hours of making your on-line payment we will return your payment
in full, no questions asked. By
booking with us it will be deemed that you have read our Terms
and Conditions page. Your
agreement to our Terms and Conditions will be required on the booking
form that you will be required to complete. (IMPORTANT:
Please ensure you add our address to your address book to ensure our
reply doesn't end up in your junk mail !!). RESTRICTIONS:-
We
don't let Jollies to groups of teenagers (i.e.
under 21's) or any
teenagers holidaying without parents, under any circumstances. The maximum
occupancy is 4 persons for couples and families and 2 persons for singles.
We will not permit 5 (or more) persons under any circumstances.
I reserve the right to refuse to let the property to any individual,
group or family that I choose and I need not offer any explanation or
reason.(Unlikely to happen but I wanted you to know I have rights too!!).
Smokers are welcome to smoke on the terrace but not inside the apartment
(Sorry - I'm a smoker too but it's in the interests of ALL our guests
- hardly a hardship given that the terrace is such a lovely place to
sit!) WHO
IS THE APARTMENT SUITABLE FOR?:- All
nationalities, ages, couples, same sex groups and families. However,
we don't have a cot for babies. Please be aware of the sleeping arrangments
- we have one King size and two singles. The Kingsize is in the bedroom,
the singles are in the bedsit style lounge. The apartment is ideally
suited to a couple enabling the lounge to be used as a lounge! I'm afraid
we don't let Jollies to groups of teenagers(i.e.
under 21's) holidaying
without family .
Our house manager is English. We accept payment in sterling and in Euro's. DISABLED:- Jollies is also suitable for the
less agile and disabled. From the pavement to the front door is one
level. There is a small doorstep. Doorwidths are standard size. We have
a large walk in shower (wetroom). This is the only room where a wheelchair
will not go through the door. The pool has one set of easy access steps,
i.e. gentle steps sloping into the pool at the shallow end, with two
hand rails. From the terrace to the pool area there are two steps -
wheelchair width, just!. Alternatively, it takes less than a minute
to go via the front door, around the corner of the apartment and out
to the pool. We have a self propelling/attendant folding wheelchair
available to rent on a weekly basis (must be booked before the date
of travel) at a cost of £35 per week.
It folds to go in cars and cabs. QUESTIONS:-
If you can't find the answer you're
looking for in this section please check out our FAQ's
page. PROPERTY
MANAGER:- Our property
manager is English and will be your contact whilst on holiday for any
emergencies. POPULARITY:- Being a complex of just 8 apartments,
situated in such a sought after location and offered at a very fair
rental has resulted in the apartment being very popular - for this reason
Jollies often gets booked well in advance. We are taking bookings with
a £100 deposit payment right up until the end of 2010. FLIGHTS
ARE NOT INCLUDED:- Our
prices are for property rental only. SEARCHING
FOR FLIGHTS?:- The
airport on Gran Canaria is Las Palmas airport (LPA) and is about a 20/25
minute drive down the motorway. Gran Canaria is about a 4 hour flight
from the UK. Flights are not included in the property rental. Flights
to Las Palmas leave the UK most days but Monday's provide the most choice,
followed by Saturdays. You'll find some of the best flight prices on
the following websites:- LATE
RETURN FLIGHT?:- To enable us to ensure
the apartment is ready for our next guests the apartment must be vacated
no later than 11am on departure day. Whenever guests have late return
flights we do try to be flexible but can rarely promise that we will
be able to accommodate them beyond 11am (occasionally possible if we
know our next guests flight arrival time is very late). When, on departure day you have to vacate
the property in the morning, there is no problem in you using the pool
and gardens until your flight time - just let me know this is what you
want to do. TRANSPORT:-
This is a busy holiday resort with
many parking restrictions. Car hire truly is not necessary - the apartment
is within easy reach of everything in the resort. If you want to tour
the island why not hire a car just for the day - a much better option.
You'll find plenty of hire company's locally. There is a very good bus
service with major stops just 200 yards from the apartment. You can
get buses up to the capital, Las Palmas, in the North of the island
and to all the out of resort attractions. Cabs are so cheap it's hardly
worth considering any other form of transport and the taxi rank is next
to the bus terminal - so again, just 200 yards from the apartment. WHAT WE'VE GOT & WHAT WE HAVEN'T:- You'll have everything you need. The kitchen is equipped with a microwave, blender, toaster, kettle, fridge freezer, full oven & 4 ring ceramic hob. The utility room houses the washing machine (we don't provide the powder), iron, the ironing board, drying stand, washing line & pegs. We have a safe. We provide toilet rolls, toilet cleaner, bedlinen, bath, hand and tea towels & a dishcloth. We have a large selection of English paperbacks and operate a swap system, i.e. take one of ours and leave one of yours. We have a few board games, puzzles and toys. Our self propelling wheelchair can be hired for £35 per week. We have plenty of coat hangers - all will hold trousers. We do have spare light bulbs. We don't provide beach towels. We do provide sunbed matresses. The complex has plenty of sunbeds. Our terrace has a table & four chairs. We have a notice board and lots of leaflets for the attractions. We no longer have the baby paddling pool shown in some of the photo's on this website, it has been filled in and is now an extra sunbathing area. Something we haven't covered here that you want to know? Check out our FAQ's TV INFORMATION How to play your own gadgets through the TV On the left side of the TV are USB 2.0 + memory card slots. Devices and memory cards must be formatted to FAT/FAT32. The TV will not read drives formatted to NTFS. Using the TV controller press “source” then follow the on-screen instructions. Non essential & non contractual
extra's:- We have numerous non essential items available for
our clients use. However, it is important to understand that these items
do not form part of our contract with you and will not necessarily be
replaced when broken or lost. Such items include: hairdryer, CD Player
& CD's, portable DVD player and a good selection of films, sandwich
toaster, fragranced candles, tea lights, salt, pepper & vinegar,
cooking oil, wardrobe hanging shelves, laundry bag, free postcards,
small notepads & pen, umbrella & vases. In the lounge we also
have an insect repellant plug-in. This works through the electrical
system and covers 60 sqm. Walls are not a barrier to this system. Providing
it is not unplugged at any time you should enjoy an insect free stay
(if unplugged it takes up to 4 weeks to work again when plugged back
in). INSURANCE:-
It is a condition of booking
that you have travel insurance to cover at least cancellation, personal
injury, theft & personal loss. TERMS
& CONDITIONS:- Our
terms and conditions form part of our booking form. You will be asked
for your agreement to those terms on the booking form. Visit our Terms
page for full details. FREQUENTLY
